We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead and grow our operations.

Role Overview:

The General Manager will be responsible for leading the entire operations of the LAMCO steel manufacturing unit, including strategic planning, production, quality assurance, financial performance, and workforce management. This role demands a hands-on leader who can drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and achieve business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic & Business Leadership

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve LAMCO's growth objectives.
  • Plan and execute capacity expansion, modernization, and process improvements.
  • Monitor market trends and collaborate with management to stay competitive.

2. Plant & Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Ensure adherence to international quality standards (ISO/IS) and customer requirements.

3. Financial & Cost Management

  • Prepare annual budgets and track financial performance against targets.
  • Optimize raw material procurement, energy usage, and inventory management.
  • Implement cost-reduction measures without compromising quality and safety.

4. People Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams for high performance.
  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan workforce requirements and develop succession plans for key roles.

5. Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
  • Oversee quality control processes and ensure zero-defect production.
  • Liaise with government and regulatory bodies for smooth operations.

6. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to meet customer demand.
  • Support technical discussions with key customers and resolve escalations promptly.
  • Represent LAMCO in industry forums and enhance the company's reputation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, plant operations, and equipment.
  • Excellent financial acumen and ability to optimize costs and resources.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field .
  • Experience: Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in the steel manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or plant head role.
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and driving business growth.
