Position Title: Hostel Warden (Residential) - Female
Reports To: Principal
Location: ACHARIYA Group of Institutions - Villianur
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hostel Administration & Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hostel, including accommodation, facilities, and security.
- Maintain accurate records of hostel residents, room allocation, attendance, and visitor logs.
- Ensure hostel rules and regulations are followed by all residents.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for cleanliness, hygiene, and repairs of hostel premises.
2. Student Welfare & Discipline
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to students for their academic and personal concerns.
- Promote a healthy, inclusive, and respectful hostel environment.
- Address complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues promptly.
- Organize recreational, cultural, and awareness activities for hostel residents.
3. Safety & Security
- Ensure safety of all residents by monitoring entry/exit and supervising security staff.
- Conduct regular checks of rooms, common areas, and facilities.
- Enforce curfew timings, visitor policies, and anti-ragging measures.
- Be available on call for emergencies (medical or disciplinary).
4. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with institution authorities, parents/guardians, and hostel staff regarding student matters.
- Prepare periodic reports on hostel functioning, incidents, and student welfare.
- Support institutional events and activities requiring hostel participation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Social Work, Management, or related field).
- Prior experience in hostel administration, student welfare, or residential supervision preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies and maintain discipline with fairness.
- Knowledge of adolescent/young adult counseling will be an advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Must reside full-time within the hostel premises.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Commitment to uphold the values and policies of the institution.
