Sr Associate Data Analytics

The Senior Associate Medical Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting Global Medical Affairs by generating data-driven insights that inform scientific engagement, strategic decision-making, and patient-focused strategies. In this role you will design and develop advanced analytical solutions that enable the Medical Affairs team to extract meaningful insights from various complex datasets. This role will serve as a technical cornerstone within the Medical Data and Analytics (MDnA) team, translating structured and unstructured data into actionable intelligence to inform strategic decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, data-driven recommendations that enhance MSL engagement strategies and contribute to improved patient outcomes.
• Conduct data analysis across structured and unstructured datasets including but not limited to HCP sentiment, scientific engagement data, and publications
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track performance, measure outcomes, and identify actionable trends using Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Understand pharmaceutical ecosystem and data sets including prescription (ex. IQVIA NPA), outlet (ex. IQVIA DDD), Lab as well as medical and pharmacy claims (ex. Symphony Claims.)
• Establish and track KPIs to assess analytics impact and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Develop and deliver ad hoc data analyses that distill complex medical data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

• Develop reusable code components, templates, and frameworks to support analytics scalability and lifecycle management.

• Collaborate with data science, IT, engineering, and external partners to ensure data access, integrity, governance, and seamless integration across platforms and systems.

• Contribute to Agile development workflows by collaborating in sprint planning, refining user stories, and delivering iterative analytics solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Continuously evaluate and introduce advanced techniques in visualization, predictive analytics, and automation.

Basic Qualifications:

PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare or a related field and 1+ year(s) of Medical Data Analytics, Commercial Data Analytics, Primary Market Research, Performance Reporting or related experience

OR

Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare or a related field and 3+ years of Medical Data Analytics, Commercial Data Analytics, Market Research, Performance Reporting or related experience

Or

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare or a related field and 5+ years of Medical Data Analytics, Commercial Data Analytics, Market Research, Performance Reporting or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced analytics experience in biotech/pharmaceutical settings, including HCP/patient-level analysis, subnational market dynamics, and field force targeting across therapeutic areas.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, including the development of AI/ML models to support business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale data models for scenario planning and simulations that align with strategic business needs.
• Experience designing executive-level dashboards and visualizations using tools like Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI to communicate trends, insights, and performance metrics.
• Strong conceptual problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguity and structure to loosely defined analytical challenges.
• Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions and deliverables
• Skilled in preparing and delivering medical communications, both written and oral, with a focus on simplifying complex data into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with analytics for service optimization, including use cases related to automation, service delivery, capacity planning, or digital collaboration platforms.
• Project management experience, including leading agile ceremonies, writing user stories, and tracking performance through defined KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals.
