Role & responsibilities:

  • Design & Development:

  • Architect IIoT solutions integrating sensors, PLCs, edge devices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

  • Develop edge computing frameworks for real-time data processing, analytics, and low-latency decision-making.

  • Cloud Integration:

  • Implement AWS services (IoT Core, Greengrass, Lambda, S3) and Azure services (IoT Hub, Functions, Edge) for scalable IIoT deployments.

  • Optimize data pipelines from edge to cloud, ensuring secure and efficient transmission.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams (software engineers, data scientists, OT/IT teams) to align solutions with business goals.

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate industrial requirements into technical specifications.

  • Protocols & Security:

  • Develop communication protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) and ensure end-to-end security (encryption, access controls, compliance).

  • Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues in IIoT/edge systems; provide post-deployment technical support.

  • Documentation & Innovation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation (designs, APIs, workflows).

  • Stay updated on emerging trends in IIoT, edge computing, and cloud technologies.

Required Skills:

  • Min 5-7 years in industrial automation, with 2+ years focused on IIoT(Industrial internet of things) stacks and edge computing.
  • Must have experience of industrial protocols (OPC UA (unified Architecture), MQTT) and automation systems (PLCs, SCADA). Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure IoT services and edge devices
  • Education: Bachelors in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic/Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or C#; familiarity with DevOps tools.
  • Preferred Skills: Certifications: AWS Certified IoT Specialty, Azure IoT Developer, or equivalent.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, energy, or oil & gas sectors.
  • Background in machine learning/AI for edge analytics.
