Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) for History

and Civics to join our Secondary level Academic team. The ideal candidate should have a

strong command over the subject, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage students in

meaningful learning experiences aligned with the schools curriculum objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


• Plan and deliver engaging History and Civics lessons for classes IX & X in line with

the schools academic framework and curriculum (e.g., CBSE).


• Create lesson plans, assessments, and activities that develop students critical thinking,

analytical, and writing skills.


• Integrate historical perspectives with civic education to foster awareness of social,

political, and constitutional principles.


• Maintain up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.


• Prepare students for internal and board-level examinations.


• Encourage classroom discussions and debates to deepen understanding of historical

events and civic responsibilities.


• Use various teaching aids and technology to enhance the learning experience.


• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and faculty development

programs.


• Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects and holistic development

initiatives.


• Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment in the classroom.

Required Qualifications:


• Post Graduate Degree in History / Political Science / Social Science or a related field.


• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.


• Minimum 2 to 7 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in a CBSE

affiliated school.


• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).


• Proficient in classroom management, assessment techniques, and modern teaching

methodologies.


• Familiarity with digital teaching tools and platforms is an added advantage.
