The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Senior Power BI Administrator, you will take ownership of our enterprise analytics platform, you will be responsible for the governance, performance, security, and strategic planning of our Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments. You will ensure our platform is stable, cost-effective, and scalable to support our company's growing data needs.

• Capacity Management: Optimize Microsoft Fabric and Power BI capacity for peak performance and cost-efficiency through strategic monitoring, planning, and automation.
• Cost Optimization: Develop and manage chargeback models for departmental cost allocation.
• Platform Governance: Establish and enforce platform governance, administering tenant settings, security, and workspaces.
• Security & Compliance: Implement a robust security framework using Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace roles, and data sensitivity labels, and ensure regulatory compliance by conducting security audits and enforcing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
• Expert Support: Serve as the subject matter expert and final escalation point for all platform-related issues.
• Performance Tuning: Proactively tune and optimize data models and DAX queries to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Automation & Strategy: Drive platform strategy and automation by leveraging APIs, evaluating new features, and advising leadership. Mentor team members on BI development and administration best practices.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 6+ years of data analytics experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED from AND 10+ years of Information systems / Analytics application Consulting experience

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 4+ years of dedicated experience as a Power BI Administrator.
• Proven, hands-on experience managing Power BI Premium or Microsoft Fabric capacities is essential.
• Strong background in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related technical field.
• Expert-level knowledge of the Power BI Admin Portal, workspaces, and tenant settings.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Deep understanding of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling principles for performance tuning.
• Solid experience with on-premises data gateway configuration and management.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Microsoft Certifications (e.g., DP-600, PL-300, DP-500).
• Experience with other Fabric components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, etc.).
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools like Azure DevOps.
