Role & responsibilities:

System Configuration and Data Migration Specialist

  • Responsible for setup of client systems including being an expert on system configuration, user acceptance testing and managing data migration from Hays and client systems
  • Execute configuration of the system and any other agreed changes
  • Assist in facilitating internal and client User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the configured system including escalation of any issues to support team; follow up testing through to resolution of any identified issues
  • Complete data migration work stream including collecting, analysing and validating data from different sources to populate the systems, where required
  • Perform detailed assessments of requests for change, considering data requirements, impacts to interfacing systems/applications, upstream and downstream processing impacts, data flow changes, data validation and efficiency
  • Assist in managing all queries and feedback related to business and functional requirements and support with documented revisions where required
  • Business regression testing of development release cycles for Hays proprietary technology (the 3SS Vendor Management System) and key third-party technologies
  • Conduct thorough analysis of escalated issues to ensure effective resolution

Documentation

  • Encourage use of self-help resources by end users and support with the creation of system training material
  • Document system set-up and hand over to BAU teams

Communication and Delivery

  • Reporting progress and updates back to the project and 3SS support team
  • Complete assigned activities in alignment with project timelines and budget
  • Provide post go-live support

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • A bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is preferable
  • Proven experience of working with large and complex data sets to produce required outputs
  • Experience of working within a team environment utilising systems and data
  • Demonstrated experience of working with systems or databases
  • Ability to identify risks to project deliverables within own (technical) workstreams and highlight them to appropriate stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including data queries on large data sets, utilisation of formula calculations and IF statements to validate data and present data in a usable format
  • Ability to participate on multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of complex implementation projects
  • Exposure to and understanding of MS office suite
  • Understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process, for MSP solutions beneficial (but not essential)
  • Experience of configuring or using VMS (vendor management systems) such as Fieldglass or Beeline beneficial
