AutoCAD Draftsman Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Draftsman to join our engineering team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing 2D and 3D drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to infrastructure and engineering projects with precision and speed.

AutoCAD Draftsman Responsibilities:

  • Prepare 2D/3D CAD drawings for CP layouts, grounding systems, and installation schematics.
  • Develop as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, and material take-offs.
  • Collaborate with CP engineers to translate technical concepts into detailed drawings.
  • Ensure drawings comply with NACE, ISO, and project-specific standards.
  • Maintain drawing databases and version control using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Assist in material selection and quantity estimation for CP installations.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams for interdisciplinary alignment.

AutoCAD Draftsman Requirements:

  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or ITI in Drafting, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1–5 years of experience in drafting for CP or related infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of MicroStation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CP components: anodes, rectifiers, test stations, cables, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to industrial, oil & gas, or urban infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of cathodic protection design principles and corrosion control.
  • Familiarity with International project standards is a plus
  • Ability to read and adapt to international design codes and practices
