Job Title: MIS Executive – Sales Team

Department: Sales / Sales Operations

Location: Thane

Reports To: Sales Head – MT & Institutional

CTC: Upto 5Lakhs

Job Summary:

The MIS Executive is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing sales data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making within the FMCG sales team. This role ensures accurate and timely preparation of reports, dashboards, and performance analyses to track sales trends, market performance, and key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management & Reporting

  • Collect, consolidate, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly sales data from various regions, distributors, and sales representatives.
  • Maintain master data related to SKUs, pricing, distributors, and customers.
  • Prepare regular MIS reports, including:
  • Sales performance vs. targets
  • Secondary & primary sales tracking
  • Product-wise / region-wise / channel-wise sales reports
  • Distributor stock & inventory reports
  • Sales trend and variance analysis

2. Dashboard & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain automated sales dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Provide analytical insights into sales trends, market share, and product performance.
  • Identify gaps, anomalies, and opportunities in sales data to support business decisions.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with regional sales teams, supply chain, and finance for accurate data collection.
  • Support the sales team with real-time data for forecasting and planning.
  • Coordinate with IT or analytics teams to ensure smooth data flow between ERP/CRM and MIS systems.

4. Process Improvement

  • Streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to automation projects and digital transformation initiatives in the sales function.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in
    MS Excel
    (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards, macros preferred).
  • Working knowledge of
    Power BI / Tableau / Advanced Excel Reporting Tools
    .
  • Good understanding of sales databases.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple reports simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Commerce, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Administration
    .
  • 2–5 years of experience in MIS / Data Analysis, preferably in
    FMCG or Consumer Goods
    industry.
  • Experience in handling
    sales or distribution data
    is a strong advantage.
