The Senior Automation & SCADA Engineer will lead the design, development, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of automation and SCADA systems for large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or utility projects. The role requires deep technical expertise in PLC/SCADA platforms, industrial communication protocols, control system architecture, and system integration. The engineer will guide junior teams, interact with clients and consultants, and ensure delivery of reliable and high-performance automation solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional capable of managing complete automation project lifecycles—from concept design to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complete automation and SCADA project lifecycle: planning, design, PLC/SCADA development, FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop PLC logic, SCADA screens, HMI interfaces, historian configurations, and communication architecture.
  • Design automation system architecture, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and system documentation.
  • Program and configure major PLC/SCADA platforms (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, ABB, GE, etc.).
  • Integrate field instruments, VFDs, sensors, actuators, soft starters, and intelligent motor control centers.
  • Develop and implement industrial communication networks (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, MQTT).
  • Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization of automation systems.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance for industrial control systems and SCADA networks.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, electrical/mechanical teams, OEMs, contractors, and clients.
  • Prepare project documentation including design reports, control philosophy, testing protocols, and O&M manuals.
  • Conduct technical reviews, approve drawings, and ensure adherence to standards (IEC, ISA, IEEE).
  • Train junior engineers, guide field teams, and provide technical leadership during execution.
  • Oversee maintenance of SCADA infrastructure, servers, PLC hardware, and network devices.
  • Prepare BOMs, cost estimates, tender documents, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Conduct site audits and ensure safety, compliance, and reliability of automation systems.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
  • 15–20 years of experience in automation, PLC/SCADA development, industrial controls, and commissioning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Siemens/Allen Bradley/Schneider platforms.
  • Expertise in industrial networking, control panel design, and instrumentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple automation projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹900, ₹1,200,000.00 per year
