Head of Transport Operations and Management

Role & responsibilities

1.Transportation Planning & Management

  • Develop and oversee transportation schedules, routes, and timings for students and staff.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between city and residential campus shuttle services.

2. Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain compliance with RTO regulations, safety standards, and insurance requirements.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Monitor GPS and CCTV systems in all transport vehicles for safety and accountability.

3.Team Coordination & Training

  • Recruit, manage, and supervise drivers and transport staff.
  • Conduct driver training programs, including child safety awareness and defensive driving.

4.Communication

  • Liaise with parents regarding transportation schedules, changes, or incidents.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation-related concerns.

5.Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and transport operations.
  • Generate reports for management on transport operations, safety, and compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation management, preferably in educational institutions or residential campuses.
  • Valid drivers license and familiarity with commercial transport regulations.
  • Conversant in Kannada
  • Experienced in Route planning , license management , GPS tracking , maintainance of Vehicle to ensure top working condition.
