Role

Independently Execute audit engagements and internal financial controls testing for providing assurance regarding the adequacy and efficacy of internal controls and compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.

A purpose driven role for you

Support in design and operating effectiveness of internal controls through execution of Internal Audits (IA):

• Independently execute audit fieldwork (including review of the work performed by CA Industrial trainees) as per audit scope and program ensuring depth and coverage.
• Complete the audit fieldwork within budgeted timelines.
• Prepare the draft Issue listing after discussing findings with the process owners and ensuring factual accuracy.
• Maintain appropriate audit documentation to support coverage of areas, conclusions drawn and issues reported in line with Internal Audit Methodology

A Day in the life

Support in design and operating effectiveness of internal controls through execution of Internal Financial Controls testing (IFC)

• Carry out IFC design/ re-assessment of design, operating effectiveness testing, and remediation testing in line with the ICAI's IFC Guidance note and within the agreed timelines.
• Review of IFC testing carried out by CA Industrial trainees
• Maintain appropriate IFC documentation to support coverage of testing, conclusions drawn and deficiencies reported in line with ICAI's IFC Guidance note .

Support in implementation of corrective action plans to mitigate risk

• Update final Internal Audit report in Audit follow up tool
• Periodically follow up on the implementation status of audit issues with Process Owners

Ensure that audit effort is aimed at reviewing existence and appropriateness of systems/ procedures for various processes

• Focus audit effort on systemic issues/ Process improvements
• Identify and suggest opportunities for savings and cost control, if any.

Academic Qualification & Experience

Chartered Accountant (CA)/ MBA

5+ years of relevant experience, Big4 Experience

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Hands on knowledge of SAP, Microsoft office, Knowledge of company's processes, risks and controls including statutory requirements, Analytical skills.

Behavioural Skills
