Overview

We are seeking an experienced IDEA StatiCa professional Engineer to join the Tekla detailing and coordination team for the prestigious project in Mumbai. The selected candidate will be responsible for advanced connection design, verification & integration of IDEA StatiCa outputs with Tekla Structures and other.

Key Responsibility

  • Perform steel connection design and verification using IDEA StatiCa for dia-grid nodes, cantilever hand segments, and braced cores.
  • Model and analyse bolted and welded connections, including HSFG bolts, gusset plates, and custom assemblies.
  • Coordinate with Tekla detailing team to ensure IDEA StatiCa outputs align with fabrication drawings.
  • Validate connection designs against IS, AWS, and Eurocode standards.
  • Generate connection reports, stress checks, and compliance documentation.
  • Support clash detection and geometry coordination for complex interfaces (steel –concrete, steel–cladding).
  • Collaborate with structural consultants and QA team for approval workflows.

Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in steel connection design using IDEA StatiCa.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel codes (IS 800, AWS D1.1, Eurocode).
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures and BIM coordination workflows.
  • Experience with dia-grid, cantilever, and custom steel geometries.
  • Familiarity with bolt grades, weld types, and fabrication tolerances.
  • Ability to interpret GA drawings, shop drawings, and connection details.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale monument or infrastructure projects (Oil & Gas)
  • Knowledge of bronze cladding interfaces and stainless-steel fasteners.
