Machine Operator

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in our manufacturing unit, ensuring that machines run efficiently and produce high-quality products. You will work closely with supervisors and other operators to meet production targets, maintain safety standards, and ensure the overall smooth functioning of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and equipment according to the production schedule and job specifications.
• Set up and adjust machines based on production requirements, including loading materials, tools, and machine settings.
• Monitor the production process to ensure machines are functioning properly and producing products that meet quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with machinery, adjusting settings or making minor repairs as necessary.
• Conduct quality checks at various stages of production, ensuring products meet required specifications and standards.
• Record machine performance, production data, and downtime accurately in logs or production tracking systems.
• Ensure all machines and work areas are kept clean and safe, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
• Follow operating procedures and safety guidelines to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any machine malfunctions, safety hazards, or production issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking materials used in production and notifying supervisors when supplies are low.
• Collaborate with other machine operators and production staff to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge of machinery and production processes.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or training in machine operation is a plus).
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of operating different types of machinery, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, or automated production lines.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components of machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on products.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machine-related issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and overtime if needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with computer-controlled machines or automated equipment.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and ability to conduct inspections.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards specific to manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of productivity.
• Certification in machine operation or any related vocational training.
