Role Overview:

The Merchandising Manager will oversee two merchandising teams and handle complete order management for international buyers and buying houses. The role involves supervising sampling, production, costing, approvals, and timelines while maintaining strong buyer communication and ensuring smooth execution of all merchandising functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead two teams of merchandisers, allocate styles, review progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Act as the main point of contact for buyers and buying houses, handling queries, approvals, timelines, and negotiations.
  • Oversee the full order cycle including sampling, costing, T&A planning, production tracking, and shipments.
  • Interpret tech packs correctly and ensure all buyer requirements are followed.
  • Coordinate with production, QA, sourcing, and documentation teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Prepare costings, negotiate prices, and maintain profitability.
  • Create and monitor T&A calendars and highlight any delays early.
  • Ensure quality standards, packaging requirements, and all buyer approvals (lab dips, trims, PP samples, TOP) are completed on time.
  • Maintain merchandising reports including style status, approvals, production updates, and shipment tracking.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in garment export merchandising.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience handling teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for buyer handling.
  • Good technical knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and costing.
  • Strong T&A planning, Excel skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple buyers and deadlines efficiently.
