Qualification:

• B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Strong EPC Solar Project leadership experience mandatory

Role Overview:

The Solar Project Head will hold end-to-end ownership of multiple utility-scale solar EPC projects, driving execution excellence, profitability, timelines, quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.

This role requires strategic leadership, strong on-ground EPC execution expertise, and governance across planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Portfolio Ownership

• Own complete lifecycle delivery of solar EPC projects across multiple locations.
• Drive project strategy, execution roadmap, and delivery governance.
• Ensure achievement of cost, schedule, margin, and quality targets.
• Provide leadership visibility to CXOs, clients, lenders, and investors.

Execution & Delivery Excellence

• Oversee civil, electrical, MMS, tracker, piling, BOS, and commissioning activities.
• Set execution benchmarks and ensure uniform standards across all sites.
• Review project schedules, critical paths, and resource deployment.
• Intervene and resolve high-risk or delayed project issues.

Financial & Commercial Control

• Own project P&L, budget adherence, cash flow, and cost optimization.
• Monitor vendor contracts, RA bills, claims, variations, and recoveries.
• Drive productivity improvement and cost efficiency across projects.
• Support commercial negotiations and client change orders.

Planning, Risk & Governance

• Approve master schedules, micro-plans, and milestone tracking systems.
• Identify project risks (technical, commercial, regulatory, execution) and drive mitigation plans.
• Establish best practices, SOPs, and execution playbooks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and safety requirements.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Approve and manage strategic EPC partners, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Build strong relationships with OEMs, tracker suppliers, piling contractors, and logistics partners.
• Resolve high-value disputes and performance escalations.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as primary interface with clients, consultants, government authorities, and financiers.
• Lead progress reviews, steering committee meetings, and audits.
• Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.

People Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead Project Managers, Construction Managers, QA/QC, Planning, and Site Teams.
• Build leadership bench strength and succession planning.
• Drive performance culture, safety mindset, and accountability across projects.
• Mentor senior team members and groom future project leaders.

Quality, Safety & Sustainability

• Champion zero-accident culture and highest quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to HSE, ESG, and sustainability goals.
• Oversee audits, certifications, and compliance reporting.
