Job Overview:

As a Cinema Duty Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of a movie theater, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and upholding safety and security standards. You will report to the Cinema Manager and assist in overseeing staff members and various cinema operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Oversight:

  2. Assist in managing all aspects of cinema operations, including ticket sales, concessions, box office, projection, and customer service.

  3. Ensure that all daily tasks and routines are completed efficiently and according to established procedures.

  4. Supervise staff to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, including restrooms, lobby areas, and auditoriums.

  5. Staff Supervision:

  6. Provide leadership and guidance to cinema staff, including ushers, ticket sellers, concession workers, and projectionists.

  7. Assign duties, create work schedules, and monitor staff performance.

  8. Conduct training sessions and ensure that staff members adhere to company policies and procedures.

  9. Customer Service:

  10. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service.

  11. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a prompt and courteous manner.

  12. Monitor customer feedback and ensure a positive cinema experience.

  13. Safety and Security:

  14. Implement and enforce safety and security protocols, including emergency procedures.

  15. Conduct routine safety inspections and address any safety concerns.

  16. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  17. Inventory Management:

  18. Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels for concessions and supplies.

  19. Conduct regular inventory counts to minimize waste and losses.

  20. Cash Handling and Reporting:

  21. Handle cash and maintain cash registers with accuracy.

  22. Prepare daily financial reports, including ticket and concession sales.

  23. Assist in tracking revenue and expenses to support financial goals.

  24. Facility Maintenance:

  25. Report maintenance and repair needs promptly to the Cinema Manager.

  26. Ensure that seating, signage, and equipment are in good working order.

  27. Assist in coordinating facility improvements and upgrades.

  28. Assist in Special Events and Promotions:

  29. Collaborate with the marketing team to execute special events, promotions, and marketing campaigns.

  30. Assist in implementing strategies to attract and engage customers.

  31. Guest Relations:

  32. Interact with customers and address their needs and feedback.

  33. Assist in monitoring and responding to online reviews and social media comments.
