About the Role

We are looking for a Magento Architect who is professionally responsible for designing and implementing highly scalable and efficient e-commerce solutions using the Magento platform and oversee the entire architecture and technical design process.

Job description - Magento Architect

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and developers, to understand project requirements and translate them into Magento-based solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and high-performance e-commerce applications using Magento and related technologies.
  • Create and maintain the overall technical architecture for Magento projects, ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in Magento applications, employing debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Define and implement integration strategies for integrating Magento with other systems, such as payment gateways, ERP systems, and third-party extensions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Magento and e-commerce technologies and provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to define hosting and deployment strategies for Magento applications, including server configurations and performance optimization.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and training sessions.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation, ensuring timely delivery of Magento projects.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Extensive experience in designing and developing Magento-based e-commerce applications, including customization, extension development, and theme integration.
  • Overall 10+ years of experience Magento Architecture Approx 6+ years and Headless Architecture 3-5 years
  • Strong understanding of the Magento architecture, including its core components, database structure, and module system.
  • Strong understanding, working experience on Headless architecture and GraphQL
  • Proficient in PHP and MySQL, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Expertise in Magento customization using XML, Layout XML, and Magento APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with Magento performance optimization techniques and caching mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with integration of third-party systems and APIs, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Magento certification(s) such as Magento Certified Solution Specialist or Magento Certified Developer would be a plus.
