We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer – Electrical to deliver basic and detailed electrical design for industrial projects. The role requires strong technical expertise and leadership to ensure compliant, high-quality designs while mentoring junior engineers and meeting project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic and detailed electrical engineering for industrial facilities including Power Plants, Refineries, Offshore, Chemical, Metal & Mining industries, and switchyards.
  • Develop and review HV / MV / LV single line diagrams.
  • Carry out lighting calculations and lighting system design using Dialux EVO.
  • Design earthing systems and perform earthing calculations.
  • Design lightning protection systems and perform related calculations.
  • Perform cable sizing, cable tray routing, and cable schedule preparation.
  • Carry out electrical load calculations for LV, MV, and HV systems.
  • Develop designs for low voltage systems such as CCTV, Public Address, Telecom, and other ELV systems.
  • Apply knowledge of hazardous area classification in electrical design.
  • Perform power system studies including - Short circuit calculations, Load flow studies, Relay coordination & relay setting calculations, CT sizing, Harmonic analysis, Transient analysis, Arc flash studies.
  • Prepare & review engineering documents including design basis, calculations, specifications, datasheets, and layouts
  • Ensure strict adherence to Quality Assurance systems, procedures, applicable standards, specifications, and design guidelines.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, project engineers, and stakeholders to resolve design issues.
  • Mentor, guide, and train design engineers, contributing to team capability development.
  • Demonstrate high commitment, ownership, and flexibility to work under challenging project schedules.

Requirements:

B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Minimum years of experience in electrical design engineering for industrial projects

Strong experience in power system design and engineering calculations

Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Dialux EVO, ETAP, PDMS & E3D

Sound understanding of international codes, standards, and engineering best practices

Proven leadership, mentoring, and coordination skills.
