Role Description

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with minimum 3-4 years of experience in Marine Electrical Design and Retrofits. Qualification B.E/ B. Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Equivalent.

Prior experience in marine electrical design or installation is preferred, along with proficiency in Advanced AutoCAD (2D/3D).

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of basic & detailed electrical engineering drawings for marine/offshore projects.
  • Preparation of MTO for electrical & instrumentation systems.
  • Preparation of Electrical / Instrumentation Layout drawings.
  • 3D Model review from an electrical system perspective.
  • Review of P&ID for electrical & instrumentation part.
  • Understanding existing systems & recommending system upgradation with detailed drawings.
  • Onsite inspection for upgradation/retrofit projects in the marine/offshore industry.
  • Study of short circuit calculations & updating the calculation for retrofit.
  • Liaising with clients/class internal multi-discipline teams for design execution.
  • Managing the electrical team, planning projects, and being responsible for all electrical project deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-4 years of experience in marine electrical engineering, shipbuilding, or offshore industries.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ETAP for electrical design and analysis is mandatory.
  • Experience with electrical load analysis, fault current calculations, and system modelling.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and automation systems would be an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
