About This Role
We are hiring a Home Health Intake Coordinator to support our US-based home health operations from India. This is a unique opportunity to work with leading US healthcare clients while managing critical intake processes remotely during US business hours.
You will be responsible for managing and doing quality review of the Start of Care (SOC) process for home health patients, conducting insurance verification, ensuring data quality, and providing quality review support. This role combines operational excellence with healthcare compliance, making it ideal for someone who thrives in detail-oriented, process-driven environments.

What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities
1. Intake Process Management - Manage Start of Care (SOC) process from referral to activation - Collect and enter patient demographics, clinical data, and insurance information into EMR systems (Kinnser, WellSky, HCHB, or KanTime) - Create and maintain Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and patient profiles - Verify insurance eligibility and coverage before patient onboarding - Process referrals from hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare facilities - Schedule Start of Care RN visits and coordinate with clinical teams - Ensure all required documentation is collected and properly entered into the system
2. Quality Review & Assurance Review intake documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance - Identify and correct data entry errors, missing information, and inconsistencies - Validate compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and payer requirements - Track quality metrics and prepare performance reports - Mentor and coach intake team members on quality standards - Escalate complex issues to management - Ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation
- ensuring this quality of documentation and correctness of steps followed in software system
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Communicate with client, clinical teams regarding patient readiness for care - Coordinate with billing teams on insurance verification and claims support - Work with scheduling teams on nurse assignment and visit coordination - Support patients and referral partners with intake updates
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years as a Home Health Intake Coordinator or similar role
Hands-on experience with one or more of these EMR platforms:
Kinnser/ WellSky
- HCHB (Homecare Homebase)
- KanTime
Any other Home Health EMR
Experience with Start of Care (SOC) processes and Medicare/Medicaid compliance
- Proven quality review experience with ability to identify and correct data issues which can impact quality of care or reimbursement or compliance
Required Skills
- Data entry accuracy
- Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare software
- Strong knowledge of US insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) and different payer plans
- Understanding of home health workflows and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and ask for help when needed
US Shift Requirement
- Commitment to working US shift hours
- Flexible and reliable for 5 days/week, full-time employment
- Comfortable maintaining focus during evening/night hours
- Quick response time to urgent issues
Location
- Must be based in India (preferably Pune based)
- Willing to relocate to Pune if required
