Job Description for DRO Operator / Lathe Operator

Designation: DRO Operator / Lathe Operator

Experience Required: 0 to 5 years

Salary: ₹15,000 - ₹30,000 per month (depending on experience and skills)

Qualification:

  • 10th Grade / ITI / DME (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Operate and control the DRO (Digital Readout) machine and Lathe machine to produce precise parts as per design specifications.
  • Machine Setup: Set up machines for operations, including loading the material, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring the machine is properly calibrated.
  • Tool Selection: Choose and set up the correct tools and attachments required for the specific task.
  • Quality Checks: Perform regular quality control checks on the finished parts to ensure they meet required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the machines to ensure smooth operations and reduce downtime.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the part requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain proper records of work orders, production logs, and material usage.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in operating DRO or Lathe machines.
  • Freshers with relevant qualifications are also welcome to apply.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of operating and setting up DRO and Lathe machines.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work with different materials and tools.
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10th Grade education or equivalent.
  • ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or DME (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) preferred.
