Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in
Mumbai, Bengaluru
for a Techno Economic Viability (TEV) Consultant.

More than
6 years' experience
working with reputed consultancy firms in India as TEV Consultant.

Ability to work closely with Nationalized Bank's, Financial Institutions (FIs), Developers, and assist BITCON empanelment with Banks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Assessment

  • Evaluate project technology, processes, equipment selection, and plant capacity.
  • Review site conditions, raw material availability, utilities, manpower, and supply chain.
  • Assess production methods, technology obsolescence risks, operational efficiency, and scalability.

2. Market & Industry Analysis

  • Study demand–supply trends, competition, sector outlook, and regulatory environment.
  • Validate market projections and pricing assumptions used in the business plan.
  • Conduct SWOT analysis for the proposed venture.

3. Financial Feasibility

  • Analyze project cost structure — CAPEX, OPEX, working capital needs.
  • Review revenue models, pricing assumptions, and profitability projections.
  • Conduct financial modeling:

ü Cash flow analysis

ü Debt service coverage ratio (DSCR)

ü Break-even analysis

ü IRR / NPV

ü Examine funding structure, promoter contribution, and repayment capacity.

4. Risk Assessment

  • Identify technical, financial, operational, environmental, and regulatory risks.
  • Evaluate mitigation strategies and stress-test scenarios.

5. Due Diligence & Verification

  • Verify project documents, quotations, vendor agreements, statutory approvals, and licenses.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect infrastructure, equipment, and progress.
  • Validate promoter background, experience, and track record.

6. Reporting

  • Prepare comprehensive TEV reports for lenders/investors.
  • Clearly outline project viability, risk factors, and recommendations.
  • Present findings to credit committees or investment teams.

Qualifications:

(Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial)

·
MBA
in Finance, Economics, or Project Management

Work Experience Preferred

  • Experience in project appraisal, project finance, credit underwriting, or industrial consulting.
  • Exposure to sectors like manufacturing, renewable energy, real estate, pharma, infrastructure, etc.
  • Previous roles in banks, NBFCs, EPC companies, or consulting firms are highly valued.
