We are seeking experienced Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and CDN Specialists with deep expertise in global performance optimization, cloud infrastructure reliability, and edge computing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in network performance engineering, Azure cloud operations, and CDN/edge delivery systems, ensuring world-class reliability, scalability, and speed for global users.

Key Responsibilities

1. Edge Reliability & Performance Optimization

  • Design and maintain edge computing infrastructure for global load balancing, caching, and routing.
  • Optimize end-user latency, throughput, and availability through intelligent edge deployments.
  • Work with edge providers such as Cloudflare Workers, AWS CloudFront Functions, Fastly , and Akamai EdgeWorkers.
  • Collaborate with development teams to offload logic and services to edge networks or CDNs.
  • Continuously monitor and improve web performance metrics including TTFB, LCP, and FCP.

2. Cloud Reliability Engineering (Azure Focus)

  • Architect and maintain scalable and reliable systems within Microsoft Azure (AKS, App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage, and Networking).
  • Implement observability using New Relic, Azure Monitor, and Grafana for real-time monitoring of metrics, traces, and logs.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration via Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Investigate and resolve cloud-native reliability incidents related to network, scaling, and containerization.
  • Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to ensure uptime and system health.

3. CDN Management & Optimization

  • Configure and optimize CDN platforms (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, AWS CloudFront, Azure CDN) to enhance global content delivery.
  • Implement caching strategies to maximize cache hit ratios and minimize origin load.
  • Manage routing, failover, and DDoS mitigation configurations.
  • Partner with DevOps and performance teams to define and deploy effective caching and edge logic policies.
  • Measure and improve performance KPIs such as latency, bandwidth savings, error rates, and cache efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in DNS, BGP, HTTP/23, TLS, and caching mechanisms.
  • Deep understanding of Azure infrastructure and observability tools (New Relic, Azure Monitor, Grafana).
  • Hands-on experience with CDN platforms and edge runtimes (VCL, Workers, , etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of web performance profiling tools and global traffic optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a reliability-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, GTmetrix).
  • Exposure to security best practices for edge and CDN configurations.
