Roles & Responsibilities Robotic Welding Programmer cum Operator

Programming & Operation

  • Develop, edit, and optimize robotic welding programs for different components and projects.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding machines to ensure consistent and high-quality welds.
  • Adjust welding parameters (speed, voltage, wire feed, etc.) as per material and thickness requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.

Quality & Process Control

  • Conduct trial runs, inspect welds, and verify compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections of welded joints (visual and dimensional checks).
  • Ensure welding processes adhere to company and industry standards (ISO, ASME, AWS, etc.).
  • Record and maintain welding parameters, production data, and quality reports.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance and calibration of robotic welding systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming, equipment, or process issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety guidelines.
  • Ensure safe handling of robotic arms, welding torches, and consumables.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to improve welding processes.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and weld quality.
  • Train and guide helpers/technicians in basic robotic welding operations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotic welding technology.
