Job Title: Sales & Marketing Executive / Manager (Urban Gardening & Landscaping)

Department: Agro Products (Soil, Fertilizers, Grow Media, Irrigation, Hardscape/Planters)

Target Customers: Corporate offices, facility/real-estate managers, CSR/ESG teams; nursery owners; farm owners; landscape architects & PMCs

Role Summary

Own revenue growth for urban gardening & landscaping solutions by acquiring and developing B2B accounts (corporates, nurseries, farms). Drive specification selling with landscape consultants, run product demos/trials, and execute campaigns that convert into sustained product pull (fertilizers, soil conditioners, coco-peat/compost, specialty nutrients, irrigation kits, planters, turf & landscape inputs). Build a repeatable pipeline including AMCs/annual supply contracts.

Key Responsibilities

1) Business Development & Key Accounts

  • Prospect and qualify corporates (admin/facility/CSR/ESG), townships, hotels, hospitals, IT parks, schools, and municipal bodies for rooftop/indoor/vertical gardens & campus landscaping.
  • Map and onboard nursery owners and farm owners; create monthly beat plans and coverage frequency.
  • Drive spec-in with landscape architects/PMCs: get products into BOQs/specs for new projects.
  • Run on-site demos, soil health checks, and micro-trials; convert to POs/AMCs.
  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and logistics; ensure gross-margin targets.

2) Channel & Territory Management

  • Identify and manage distributors/stockists for steady supply to nurseries and farms.
  • Forecast SKU-wise demand; align with supply chain for availability and freshness.
  • Monitor competition (price, packs, schemes); recommend counter-offers.

3) Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Plan corporate wellness/green-office campaigns (desk plants, indoor planters, vertical gardens).
  • Execute seasonal calendars (monsoon plantation, winter flowering, Arbor/Environment/World Earth Day).
  • Create regional content: WhatsApp Business catalogs, LinkedIn posts, short demo videos, case studies.
  • Organize nursery/farmer meets, landscaper roundtables, and expo participation; manage POSM.

4) Project & AMC Sales

  • Build pipeline with clear stage gates (Lead Site Survey Proposal/BOQ Trial PO Delivery AMC).
  • Prepare proposals with layouts/BOQs in coordination with design/landscape partners.
  • Track installation quality and handover; upsell AMC and consumables (fertilizers, media, drip spares).

5) Customer Success & Collections

  • Ensure product application guidance and post-sale support; conduct training for customer teams.
  • Track repeat orders, consumption rates, and satisfaction (NPS/feedback).
  • Own timely collections and DSO targets.

6) Compliance & Reporting

  • Adhere to applicable fertilizer/agri input regulations and product stewardship.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene (Leads, Activities, Quotes, Win/Loss reasons); weekly funnel & forecast.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry or Any Grad + MBA (Marketing).
  • Experience: 2–7 years in B2B Agri/Horticulture/Landscaping/Green Infrastructure sales (nursery/farm/corporate accounts).
  • Knowledge: Urban horticulture, substrates (coco-peat, compost, perlite), specialty nutrients, drip/micro-irrigation, landscape project cycles, BOQ reading.
  • Skills: Prospecting, solution selling, negotiation, presentation, basic site-surveying, MS Office, CRM (Zoho/Salesforce or similar).
  • Other: Local language proficiency; 2-wheeler/4-wheeler license; willingness to travel 60–70%.
