Role Objective

To provide high-quality nursing care and clinical support to patients undergoing fertility treatments and procedures, ensuring patient safety, emotional comfort, and adherence to medical and ethical standards of the IVF clinic.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care & Assistance

  • Provide compassionate and efficient nursing care to IVF patients throughout the treatment cycle.
  • Assist doctors and embryologists during procedures such as oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, hysteroscopy, and IUI.
  • Prepare patients for clinical examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.
  • Monitor patients' vitals before, during, and after procedures.
  • Counsel patients on pre- and post-procedure care as directed by doctors.

2. Clinical & Procedural Support

  • Maintain sterilization of instruments and ensure aseptic conditions in procedure areas.
  • Support the OT team with preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments.
  • Manage medicine stock, injection preparation, and consumables.
  • Maintain IVF cycle-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Administer prescribed injections (hormonal and trigger shots) with correct dosage and timing.

3. Documentation & Compliance

  • Record daily OPD, IP, and OT activities accurately.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) Act, 2021 and internal SOPs.
  • Maintain patient records, consent forms, and nursing charts.
  • Assist in audits and ensure compliance with clinic protocols and infection control policies.

4. Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Maintain daily logs of instruments, equipment, and consumables used in clinical procedures.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team for stock replenishment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and operational readiness of all equipment in the OT and treatment rooms.

5. Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between patients, doctors, and other departments for smooth treatment flow.
  • Provide clear communication to patients about appointments, instructions, and follow-ups.
  • Handle patient queries politely and direct clinical concerns to the treating consultant.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing
  • Registration: Registered Nurse (State Nursing Council) – Mandatory
  • Experience: 1–3 years in hospital or fertility/IVF center (preferred)
  • Additional: Training in OT, ART, or women's health nursing is an advantage
