AcadAlly, an innovative AI-powered EdTech company, is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Physics Assessment Developer to join our team.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about advancing education through high-quality assessments that align with modern pedagogical frameworks. As a Physics Assessment Developer, you will play a key role in creating rigorous and engaging assessments that measure students' conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, and application of physics principles.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assessment Development: Create high-quality formative, summative, and standardized assessments for Grades 6–12 that evaluate key physics concepts and problem-solving skills.
• Curriculum Alignment: Design assessments aligned with national curriculum standards, covering major topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, waves, electricity and magnetism, optics, and modern physics.
• Cognitive Design: Apply frameworks such as Bloom's Taxonomy and Webb's Depth of Knowledge (DoK) to develop questions across various cognitive levels.
• Misconception Addressing: Identify and address common misconceptions in physics through thoughtfully designed questions and explanations.
• Assessment Item Creation: Develop clear, accurate, and conceptually sound assessment items with well-reasoned distractors and rationales.
• Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, educators, and curriculum designers to ensure assessment quality and academic integrity.
• Item Review: Participate in item review and validation processes to maintain alignment with educational standards and ensure content accuracy.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to building and refining a robust item bank, including conducting item analysis for quality enhancement.
• Industry Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends in physics education, pedagogy, and assessment methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Master's or higher degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
• Subject Expertise: Strong conceptual understanding of core physics principles and curriculum standards for Grades 6–12.
• Assessment Knowledge: Proficiency in designing assessments using Bloom's Taxonomy and Webb's DoK framework.
• IB Experience: Preference for candidates with experience developing assessments aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum or other international frameworks.
• Analytical & Writing Skills: Strong analytical thinking and excellent written communication skills to craft precise, effective assessment items.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and commitment to maintaining academic rigor.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• EdTech Experience: Familiarity with assessment development tools or platforms within the e-learning or EdTech ecosystem is a plus.
