Job Title: Chinese Chef

Location: Kharadi, Pune

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialize in authentic Chinese cuisine and possess in-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional flavors. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to menu development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, noodles, dumplings, soups, and traditional entrees.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning of all meals served.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and minimize food wastage.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or Cook in a reputable Chinese restaurant.
  • Expertise in Chinese cooking methods such as wok frying, steaming, braising, and roasting.
  • Knowledge of regional Chinese cuisines (e.g., Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, etc.) is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Culinary certification or formal training is preferred but not required.
