Business Analyst Fund Accounting & NAV Product

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Fund Accounting and NAV (Net Asset Value) calculation for Hedge Fund and/or Mutual Fund products.

The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in fund accounting operations, financial instruments, and the end-to-end NAV process. You will act as a bridge between business users, product teams, and technology, ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into functional specifications and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to fund accounting, NAV calculation, and related financial workflows.
  • Work closely with fund accountants, operations teams, and technology teams to enhance and support fund accounting platforms.
  • Participate in system implementation, configuration, testing, and validation of NAV and fund accounting functionalities.
  • Define and document functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and business process flows.
  • Support reconciliation, valuation, and pricing workflows across various financial instruments.
  • Perform data analysis, impact assessment, and root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of system changes and enhancements.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with business stakeholders for sign-off.
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on fund accounting processes, including daily NAV calculation, fee accruals, and corporate actions.
  • Support ongoing product development and roadmap initiatives for fund accounting and NAV solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Fund Accounting or Investment Management domains.
  • Strong understanding of Hedge Fund and/or Mutual Fund Accounting operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of NAV calculation, valuation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with financial instruments — Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, FX, Money Market, etc.
  • Experience with fund accounting systems such as Geneva, Multifonds, Eagle, Investran, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in writing BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, and Use Cases.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis/reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
