Position Overview:

As a Staff SDET, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital media delivery by joining our IPTV Automation and Tools team. You'll design and implement scalable automation frameworks, develop sophisticated audio/video validation tools, and build intuitive dashboards to drive data-driven insights and optimize reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Audio/Video Validation Tools:

    • Build robust tools to ensure optimal audio and video streaming quality.
  • Design Scalable Automation Infrastructure:

    • Architect and implement automation systems to streamline testing and deployment processes.
  • Enhance Reporting and Analytics:

    • Create dashboards and utilities that support data analysis and operational visibility.
  • Collaborate and Mentor:

    • Review code, mentor peers, and advocate for best practices in test automation and quality engineering.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in software development, test automation, or tools engineering.
  • Proven experience with digital media technologies such as IPTV, streaming platforms, set-top boxes, or mobile devices.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • Audio/Video quality analysis tools.
    • CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Argo, or Airflow.
    • Automating high-ROI test cases to reduce manual effort.
    • Debugging, root cause analysis, and issue isolation on consumer devices.
    • Customizing open-source tools for video streaming automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clean, modular, and maintainable code.
  • Passion for code reviews and continuous improvement through mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with UI automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver.
  • Exposure to Appium or similar tools for mobile app automation.
  • Familiarity with AV codecs, DRM technologies, and consumer electronics testing.
  • Knowledge of pytest or similar test frameworks for end-to-end automation.
  • Proficiency in integrating open-source tools into larger automation ecosystems.
  • Background in web application development for internal tools.
  • Experience using monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk or Grafana.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional, globally distributed teams.

Education:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, or a related field.
