Role Overview:

As a UI/UX Lead, you will lead and manage the user experience design process within the company. You will ensure that products, services, or digital experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs and expectations of the target audience. You will bridge the gap between users, design teams, and stakeholders to deliver intuitive and impactful digital solutions. You will be responsible for all UI/UX deliveries of the organization.

Objectives of this Role:

• Collaborating with stakeholders, such as product managers and executives, to define the overall UX strategy and goals of a project or product.
• Managing and mentoring a team of UX Designers, Researchers, and other specialists involved in the user experience design process.
• Conducting user research activities, to gather insights about user needs, behaviours, and preferences.
• Guiding the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns that outline the behaviour and flow of a digital product or service.
• Overseeing the visual design process to ensure that the user interface (UI) aligns with the overall user experience goals and brand guidelines.
• Conducting usability evaluations and heuristic reviews to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of a product's user interface and proposing improvements based on the findings.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure that the user experience design aligns with business goals and technical constraints.
• Documenting and reporting the project management, tasks and workflows for all design projects.
• Developing and utilizing frameworks and style guides for all designs projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create a comprehensive UX strategy that supports the organization's objectives and the specific needs of each client.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with product managers, developers, content creators, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on design goals, timelines, and quality standards.
• Work closely with clients to understand their distinct requirements and tailor the experiences to suit each organization's needs.
• Establish and oversee a continuous cycle of user research, usability testing, and feedback collection to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
• Understand and prioritize user needs through user research, personas, and user journey mapping to inform design decisions.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience.
• Develop and implement a design system that standardizes UI/UX elements for consistency while allowing customization for different client branding and functional requirements.
• Design features that boost user engagement. This includes gamification elements, interactive features, and feedback loops.
• Set clear UX performance metrics such as user satisfaction, task completion rates, and engagement metrics, and use these insights to inform ongoing improvements.
• Guide and support the UX team's growth, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of learning and innovation in UX practices.
• Define and maintain design principles, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all LMS implementations.
• Ensure that the design process—from ideation to prototyping to final implementation—is user-centered and efficient.
• Anticipate potential user experience challenges and proactively address them during the design and development phases.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and rectify any usability problems that arise, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience and proven track record
• Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.
• Experience or ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
• Ability to lead junior and senior designers, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration.
• Highly creative with a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent visual skills and attention to detail
