WLAN Developer

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WLAN/Linux Driver Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and efficient WLAN drivers for embedded Linux platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in C programming, networking driver development, and a deep understanding of WLAN protocols.

You will be working on projects related to Wi-Fi access points, security, and advanced wireless networking features. Responsibilities : WLAN/Linux Driver Development :

• Design, develop, and maintain WLAN drivers for embedded Linux platforms, specifically targeting OpenWrt.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented C code.
• Implement and optimize WLAN driver functionalities for performance and stability.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex driver issues.
• Wi-Fi Access Point and Security:
• Implement and configure Wi-Fi access point functionalities.
• Implement and support Wi-Fi security protocols, including WPA/WPA2/WPA-PSK.
• Ensure robust security measures for wireless networks.Networking Driver Development :
• Develop and maintain networking drivers, with a focus on Ethernet and Wireless LAN drivers.
• Implement and optimize network protocols and functionalities.
• Work with network interfaces and manage network traffic.

OpenWrt/Embedded Linux Platform :

• Develop and customize drivers for the OpenWrt/Embedded Linux platform.
• Configure and optimize the Linux kernel for embedded systems.
• Integrate drivers with the OpenWrt build system.

WLAN Protocols and Standards :

• Implement and support WLAN/802.11 a/b/g/n, 802.11k,v,r, 802.11s protocols.
• Develop and test wireless networking features.
• Analyze and troubleshoot wireless networking issues.

Testing and Validation :

• Develop and execute test plans for WLAN drivers and wireless networking functionalities.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing.
• Ensure compliance with wireless networking standards.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and other team members.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Continuous Learning :

• Stay up-to-date with the latest WLAN technologies and standards.
• Research and evaluate new tools and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of internal knowledge sharing resources.

Qualifications : Education :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

• 10+ years of experience in WLAN/Linux driver development.
• Proven track record of strong individual technical achievement.
• Extensive experience with C programming.
• Strong understanding of Wi-Fi access point and security (WPA/WPA2/WPA-PSK).
• Hands-on experience in networking driver development, particularly Ethernet and Wireless LAN drivers.
• Experience working on the OpenWrt/Embedded Linux platform.
• Strong knowledge of WLAN/802.11 a/b/g/n, 802.11k,v,r, 802.11s protocols.

Technical Skills :

• Expert proficiency in C programming.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel and driver development.
• Expertise in WLAN protocols and standards.
• Experience with OpenWrt/Embedded Linux platforms.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and standards.
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (i.e., Git).
