Key Responsibilities

1. Network Security Administration

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for network access control (NAC), posture assessment, and 802.1X authentication.
  • Manage and monitor Palo Alto Firewalls, including security policies, threat prevention, and URL filtering.
  • Maintain and optimize firewall rule sets to balance security and performance.

2. Wireless Infrastructure Management

  • Configure and maintain Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), including SSID creation, security policies, and access point (AP) management.
  • Perform RF planning, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure wireless network reliability and performance.

3. Network Automation & Monitoring

  • Leverage Cisco DNA Center for automation, provisioning, assurance, and network monitoring.
  • Implement network policies, QoS, and templates via DNAC to ensure standardization and operational efficiency.

4. Security Compliance & Incident Response

  • Coordinate with the security team to close vulnerabilities identified during audits and assessments.
  • Respond to, investigate, and remediate network security incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to security frameworks, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

5. Collaboration & Documentation

  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver secure network solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Technical Expertise Required

  • Cisco ISE: Policy configuration, profiling, BYOD, posture validation.
  • Cisco WLC: WLAN setup, security (WPA3, 802.1X), roaming optimization.
  • Cisco DNAC: Automation workflows, network assurance, inventory management.
  • Palo Alto Firewalls: Security profiles, NAT, VPNs, Panorama management.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP.

  • Security protocols: IPSec, SSL/TLS, RADIUS, TACACS+.

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certifications (preferred):

  • Cisco: CCNA, CCNP Security (or equivalent).

  • Palo Alto: PCNSA, PCNSE.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
