This is an accounting and taxation role with a strong focus on Accounts Payable and General Ledger accounting. You will manage core accounting operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, lead the accounting team, and drive process improvements while collaborating with auditors and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Taxation & Compliance: Support taxation activities (income tax, GST, and indirect taxes) as needed.
- Accounting Operations: Manage core accounting functions including accounts payable, journal entries, ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring effective delegation, guidance, and performance management.
- Process Improvement: Review and enhance accounting processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders as required.
Key Requirements
- Education: Postgraduate in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in accounting and taxation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, journal entries, ledger accounting, and other core accounting concepts.
- Familiarity with tax laws and financial regulations.
- Team Management: Proven experience in handling and mentoring teams.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
