About The Position: 

As part of continuous focus on growth, we are currently looking for a Sr. Product Manager for leading Product Management function at our Bangalore R&D Centre for software experiences development. This is a hands-on leadership role with technical as well as managerial responsibilities. This role requires the candidate to come with a good experience in all aspects of a product life cycle from a well known product company / start up specializing in delivering commercially successful products. The candidate should have a strong background on software product management with a focus on consumer experiences.

Technical responsibilities will include conceptualizing new ideas / products from scratch as well as enhancing cutting edge software experience features in our existing suite of products. This role is all about bringing creativity and innovation within the team to provide solutions to the unmet needs of mobile customers; conceptualizing, leading the product roadmap and strategy by closely interacting with other stakeholders like software engineering, product sales and marketing; interfacing with target consumer groups, eventually taking it to its launch phase.

Apart from this, the incumbent's managerial skills would involve building the product management function at our Bangalore Software Center from scratch, and manage the entire product management process end-to-end using agile / scrum methodologies.

• Execution Expert : Define product roadmap and features, work with design to create great UI, work with eng. to build great products. Moves the organization. Gets things done. Launch the product / experience  

• Innovator & Creative Problem Solver: Ability to see tech trends and anticipate how user needs can just now be solved. Looks for nonlinear 10x moonshots and finds them

• Industry Domain Expert: Knows mobile consumer software inside and out. If it's mobile, you're all over it. 

•Organizational Leader: Evangelist, Executive Presence, Truth Teller, Collaborator, Great Demo-er. Able to hire the very best talent.  

• Business Owner: Understands the key business drivers and what needs to happen to drive economics. Worries about user perceptions and P&L.

Responsibilities:

• Be a hands-on scrum Product Owner for India scrum teams.

• Serve as liaison between the hardware and software experiences organizations across various geographical locations of Motorola.

• Impeccable consumer mobile experience and product judgement.

• Identify market trends and engage with user communities to identify opportunities problems and opportunities ripe for innovation.

• Define and discover the minimum viable product (MVP) definition for new mobile software experiences.

• Partner with design and engineering counterparts to rapidly ideate, mockup, and test with real users.

• Develop compelling business cases for new mobile software experiences.

• Collaborate with internal hardware platform teams to plan future software enablers.

• Evaluate partnership opportunities to enhance current product offerings and establish ongoing relationships with key strategic partners.

• Continually and directly engage with consumers (via social forums, consumer lab testing, secret shopper, cafe testing, etc.) to refine current product and inform new concepts.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• 6 years minimum software product management experience with total of 12+ years of software industry experience

• Agile/Scrum product development experience is a must.

• Experience leveraging consumer research to inform application development.

• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.

• Superior presentation skills and the ability to adapt messaging to target audiences including CxO level audiences both internally and externally.

• Android mobile application experience preferred
