Role & responsibilities

  • Approve/reject raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Review and approve specifications, sampling plans, test methods, SOPs, deviations, change controls, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, plant hygiene, equipment calibration, and environmental controls.
  • Oversee QC operations, analyst proficiency, training programs, and documentation practices.
  • Release finished products after review of BMR, PDR, and in-process/finished goods data.
  • Handle OOS investigations, regulatory/consumer complaints, and audit preparedness.
  • Lead audits by regulatory bodies and principal companies; coordinate daily QA/QC activities.
  • Approve annual plans: validation master plan, SIP calendar, equipment calibration, and training programs.
