Senior Engineer –
Copilot, Power BI, and Agentic Framework Integration

Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled AI-driven Data and Analytics Engineer to design and

implement Copilot-enabled solutions integrated with Power BI, Agentic AI frameworks, and Model

Context Protocol (MCP) across enterprise data platforms. This role bridges Generative AI, data

engineering, and intelligent reporting—driving autonomous insights and decision support through

conversational and agentic experiences.

Key Responsibilities 
1. Copilot & Power BI Integration


• Design and implement Copilot extensions for Power BI to enable natural language query generation,

DAX assistance, and AI-assisted dashboard creation.


• Build and manage semantic data models with AI context layers for adaptive insight generation.


• Develop Power BI dataflows, direct queries, and semantic models connected to Snowflake,

Databricks, Iceberg, or S3 sources.


• Implement Copilot plug-ins using Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, or Custom LLM APIs.

2. Agentic Framework Development


• Develop autonomous AI agents that orchestrate data preparation, insight generation, and report

optimization using Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI).


• Integrate agent actions with enterprise data pipelines, governance APIs, and Copilot prompts.


• Implement role-based AI agents (e.g., Data Analyst Agent, BI Optimizer Agent, Governance Agent).

3. MCP (Model Context Protocol) & System Interoperability


• Design MCP adapters for Power BI, data warehouse, and Copilot environments.


• Integrate Model Context Protocols to share embeddings, metadata, and contextual memory between

AI copilots and enterprise data assets.


• Work with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, or Chroma) to enrich MCP memory contexts.

4. Data Platform and Toolchain


• Collaborate with data engineering teams using Snowflake, Iceberg, Presto/Trino, dbt, and Kafka/Flink.


• Implement data observability, lineage, and governance within Copilot experiences.


• Optimize Power BI gateways, Fabric pipelines, and Synapse integrations.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration


• Partner with Data Scientists, Cloud Engineers, and Product teams to embed Copilot and agentic

features.


• Contribute to AI safety, compliance, and audit frameworks.


• Lead PoCs and architecture reviews for new LLM + Power BI use cases.

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years in Data/BI/AI Engineering roles.


• Deep expertise in Power BI (DAX, data models, Fabric) and Azure/OpenAI Copilot integrations.


• Strong programming in Python, C#, or TypeScript.


• Hands-on with Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI) and RAG pipelines.


• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol).


• Experience with Snowflake, Iceberg, Kafka, Flink, dbt, and Presto/Trino.


• Understanding of LLM prompt engineering, vector search, and context memory design.

Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate / Fabric Expert.


• Experience building custom Copilot plug-ins or M365 extensions.


• Knowledge of AI governance, data security, and privacy compliance.


• Exposure to GCP Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI GPT-based APIs.Example Projects
• Building Power BI Copilot that generates dashboards from natural language.


• Creating AI agents that analyze data quality and generate remediation tasks automatically.


• Integrating MCP context memory between Copilot and Snowflake.


• Deploying RAG-based Copilot pipelines on Azure or GCP
