R&D Engineer – Engineered Quartz Stone ManufacturingPosition Overview

We are seeking an accomplished
Research & Development Engineer
to spearhead innovation in engineered quartz stone manufacturing. This role will be pivotal in driving
technological advancement, sustainable product innovation, and process optimization
, ensuring our offerings meet international quality standards while staying competitive in the global market.

Key ResponsibilitiesR&D Strategy & Innovation

  • Develop and execute comprehensive R&D strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead research initiatives for next-generation engineered quartz products, including sustainable solutions (e.g., Low Silica Quartz, Bio Quartz) in line with evolving environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
  • Innovate in surface design, aesthetics, and performance characteristics to maintain market leadership.

Product Development & Formulation

  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept, prototyping, and scale-up to commercialization.
  • Develop and optimize quartz–resin composite formulations for enhanced performance.
  • Apply expertise in
    unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy systems, curing agents, and coupling agents
    to create products with superior mechanical and functional properties.

Process Optimization & Manufacturing

  • Oversee and refine production processes, parameters, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Drive efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement through process optimization.
  • Collaborate with production teams to integrate
    Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
    principles.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute testing protocols for physical, chemical, and mechanical performance of finished goods.
  • Oversee raw material analysis, in-process monitoring, and finished product validation.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems in compliance with
    ISO, NSF, Greenguard, Kosher, and other industry certifications
    .
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with regulatory and certification bodies.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, operations, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless alignment from R&D to commercialization.
  • Provide technical expertise to support product positioning, market introduction, and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field
    .
  • 5+ years of proven experience in
    R&D, formulation development, or process engineering
    within engineered stone, composites, or related industries.
  • Strong track record of successful
    product development and commercialization
    .

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of
    resin systems, composite materials, and curing mechanisms
    .
  • Hands-on expertise in laboratory research, pilot testing, and process scale-up.
  • Proficiency in
    physical, chemical, and mechanical testing protocols
    for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Familiarity with
    sustainable materials and eco-friendly manufacturing practices
    .
