Coating Advisor

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Join our team as a Coating Advisor and become the go-to expert for delivering top-notch technical support on-site (shipyards). You'll guide customers through paint application and inspection processes, ensuring every coating meets specification and exceeds expectations. Your role is all about quality, precision, and customer satisfaction.

This role is based in New Delhi and reports to Sr. Manager Technical Services & Support.

Responsibilities: 

• Give clear instructions to clients and relevant Jotun staff on paint application by working on site with relevant client representatives to ensure the coating specification is met and in accordance with customer expectations.

• Carry out inspections of a specific project assigned to you by your direct manager by working independently, following the ITP and working procedures in order to ensure that the product is applied in accordance with the specification.

• Write relevant reports by compiling data from inspections in order to document that the specification inspection criteria have been met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

1. Education & Experience: High school graduate plus

• 2+ years as Coating Advisor or
• 3+ years as QC/applicator or
• 3+ months as Junior Coating Advisor or
• Completed Team No.1 Level 1 training

2. Certification: NACE CIP Level 1 and minimum 3 years' experience as a coating inspector.

3. Language: English proficiency required for international projects; local projects allowed until language skills improve.
