We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Bengaluru team and contribute to the development packaging, cartoning and tubefilling machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Machine Design & Development: Flair for out of box thinking and Independently conceptualize, design, and develop machines for packaging, cartoning and tubefilling machines.Generally machines will be of customer centric
  2. 3D CAD Design & Engineering Analysis: Use SolidWorks to create detailed designs, assemblies, and motion studies. Hands on in Autocad essential.
  3. Preparation of sequence chart and coordinate with PLC programmer to achieve functional results.
  4. Knowledge on different food and pharmaceutical machine standards. Eg: 21 CFR.
  5. Prototype Development & Testing: Oversee prototyping, testing, and performance validation of newly designed machines.
  6. Design Refinement & Cost Optimization: Improve existing machine designs for efficiency, durability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  7. Collaboration & Teamwork: Work on-site in Bengaluru with a team of engineers and collaborate closely with the Bengaluru design and manufacturing facility.
  8. Reporting Structure: The role reports to the Director of Manufacturing, based at Bengaluru Centre.
  9. Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain detailed technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation in compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute (preferred)

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with additional relevant experience may also be considered

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience in machine design and development

Must have independently developed industrial machines

Experience in packaging, cartoning and tube filling machinery will be highly advantageous

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD tools) is mandatory
  • Deep understanding of mechanical design, automation, drive systems, and precision engineering
  • Experience in prototyping using 3D printing
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal fabrication, casting, machining, welding, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), kinematic analysis, and motion studies is beneficial
