Job Description: Risk Investigator - FS

Work Location - Mumbai

About the Role:

We are looking for a Risk Investigator to play a key role in safeguarding our organization against fraudulent activities across all payment channels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring daily transaction alerts, conducting thorough investigations, making account-level decisions, and supporting risk case handling. Candidates with prior experience in fraud risk management, particularly within payments, and a strong understanding of fraud prevention and controls will be preferred

Key Responsibility:

  • Monitor and analyze transactions to detect and prevent fraud across all payment channels
  • Investigate fraud alerts, assess risk factors, and take necessary actions to mitigate potential threats
  • Conduct detailed research and compile evidence to support fraud investigations
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations to management
  • Proactively report the fraud attack vectors in customer-complaints to relevant stakeholders and assess the adequacy of controls to manage such risks, including recommending enhanced controls.
  • Proactively monitor anomalies, assess control effectiveness, and suggest improvements
  • Ensure information flow and deliverables are met to mitigate fraud by facilitating weekly calls with stakeholders.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-5 years in fraud risk operations or fraud investigations within fintech or payments.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with fraud risks in Payment Aggregators (PA), PPI, UPI, gift cards, and bill payments.
  • Fraud Expertise: Understanding of fraud schemes, fraud prevention techniques, and fraud management tools.
  • Investigation Skills: Strong ability to assess risk, analyze data, and conduct in-depth fraud investigations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus
