We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager  Product Control

Business: Finance Function

Principal responsibilities

Deliver timely and accurate daily and periodic reporting with high degree of accuracy and auditable controlsEnsure service delivery of Product Control processes as per the standards set out in agreed SLAs within the HSBC Global Resourcing operating frameworkDemonstrate an expert understanding of Markets business and processesUnderstand and actively engage with stakeholder needs and manage expectationsInfluence and escalate customer issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolutionTimely and appropriate response to queries and requestsAssist the people manager in motivating and manage a team of finance professionals taking into account attritions, band progression, contingencies and expectationsEstablish and meeting challenging PLAsAdherence to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited todeclaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, information security, clear desk policyContinually assess the operational risks inherent in the processes, taking account of changing operating procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements, management restructures, and the impact of new technology.Plan and schedule project activities aligned with the project plan and ensure timely completion of milestones.Manage stakeholder relationships with In-country teams / Near-shore teams & IT teamsEffectively drive and manage change, plan business contingency and achieve cross-trainingEnsuring BCP (business continuity plan) is documented, agreed and tested as per agreed timelinesEnsure all SOPs (standard operating procedures) are in place and updated appropriatelyEnsure Global Resourcing operating framework taking into account key operational risk (including people & processes) and ways to mitigateManage Product control processes in accordance with the group's FIM reporting requirements

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant or equivalent accounting qualification, MBA (Finance) from a leading management institution with at least 4+ years of experienceExperience in managing high end Accounting or Reporting & Analysis or finance and accounting activitiesExperience in reconciling & substantiating traded markets products e.g. FX, fixed income, equities and derivativesStrong accounting knowledge, including exposure to IFRS accounting.Excellent communication and presentation skillsExposure to diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization skillsTechnically proficient in systems and in MS Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of other platforms such as PC Portal, TLM, AssureNET and Saracen would be advantageous.Experience in Six Sigma/Lean methodology will be an advantageComfortable working in a team which operates across multiple shifts, from HK to NY
