Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated
Embedded Firmware Engineer
to join our Research and Development (R&D) team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize firmware for a variety of embedded systems. You'll be involved in the complete product development lifecycle — from research and prototyping to hardware-software integration and system validation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Firmware Development

● Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.

● Write and optimize low-level drivers and real-time applications using C/C++.

● Ensure performance optimization and compliance with low-power design requirements.

2. Research & Development

● Conduct feasibility analysis and develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for new technologies.

● Explore innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities.

● Create system architecture and detailed design documents.

3. Hardware Integration

● Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate firmware with electronic components.

● Interface with peripherals such as sensors, actuators, communication modules, and displays.

● Assist in hardware debugging and troubleshooting.

4. Testing and Validation

● Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end system testing.

● Utilize debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) for fault diagnosis.

● Implement and test Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware updates where applicable.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to ensure seamless product development.

● Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.

● Document project progress, technical specifications, and test plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

● Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field. ● Experience: 2–5 years of experience in embedded firmware development.

Technical Proficiency

● Strong programming skills in C/C++.

● In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, STM32, PIC, etc.) and low-level programming.

● Experience with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, etc.).

● Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or ThreadX.

Tools

● Hands-on experience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, multimeters).

● Proficiency with IDEs such as Keil, MPLAB, or Eclipse.

● Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

General Skills

● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

● Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi).

● Experience with scripting languages like C/C++ for testing and automation.

● Hands-on experience with PCB-level debugging.

● Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
