Position: Onsite Project Manager (Japanese-Speaking)

Location: Hosur

Exp: 5 to 6 years exp

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary onsite liaison between Japanese stakeholders and the local project team.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards in alignment with client expectations.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between Japanese and local/global teams (interpretation, translation, documentation).
  • Conduct project planning sessions, define scope, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure adherence to project governance.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to clients and internal leadership.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality, etc.) to ensure project success.
  • Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Proven experience years) in project management with onsite client engagement.
  • PMP/Prince2/Agile certification preferred.
  • Fluency in Japanese (business-level or higher) and English; additional local language a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multicultural teams and bridge communication across geographies.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and reporting skills.
