Position Summary

The Quality Assurance & Quality Controller will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities in the factory project comply with approved quality standards, codes, specifications, and client requirements. The role involves implementing QA/QC procedures, conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and coordinating with project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality construction work.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA):

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the project's Quality Assurance Plan in alignment with ISO standards and client requirements.
  • Prepare and review method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality checklists.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate external quality audits.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions for site staff on QA procedures.

Quality Control (QC):

  • Carry out daily inspections of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet required quality standards.
  • Conduct tests and inspections for concrete, steel, welding, painting, and finishing works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives for inspection approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, test certificates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented for quality issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of QA/QC experience in industrial or factory construction, or international factory projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, QA/QC procedures, and construction codes/standards.
  • Experience in handling quality documentation, ITPs, and method statements.
  • Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC software tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
