Job description:

Program Officer (FPO)- Job Description

Plan and coordinate with the project team, FPO-CEO, and BoDs for enhancing the production, and productivity of the FPO members, providing agriculture extension services, etc.

Key work deliverables

· Conduct baseline and related studies as necessary for the project / FPOs

· Collect and analyze crop data for the FPO members.

· Work on methods and approaches to enhance both agriculture production and productivity of the FPO members.

· Business, Market linkage, and procurements

· Work on developing the commodity value chain approach for the FPOs.

· When necessary, conduct a crop demonstration capacity-building program.

· Liaison with various stakeholders such as KVKs, agricultural extension officers, and other value chain participants.

· Participate in donor visits, meetings, and workshops to share the learning from the project

· Coordinate with field officer/Regional officer/CEO/Accountant of FPO on daily basis and participate in the monthly meeting for review, planning, and effective implementation

· Prepare case studies and process documentation and other documentation as per requirement

· Having good verbal and written communication in Hindi and English

· Ensuring stage completion of FPOs as per timelines

· Presentation and report preparation

· Work in a team and promote team spirit and culture

· Work closely and report to Team Leader

· Any other assigned task by the Team leader

Eligibility Criteria

· Graduate/Post Graduate in Agriculture/Agri-business/Agri-Marketing/ Agronomy/ from a recognized University.

· Five years of relevant work experience in the areas of crop production techniques, technology intervention, and working with FPOs / Large Farmers' Groups, etc.
