About Us

At Jiv Daya Foundation (JDF), we are committed to improving healthcare access and outcomes across India. Our initiatives span Tuberculosis control, Rheumatology access, Eye Care programs, and other public health projects, implemented in partnership with leading government medical colleges and healthcare institutions.

We are seeking a Program Officer to join our team in India and support the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of these initiatives. This role will be based out of Delhi, with significant travel to partner hospitals and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Case Review & Patient Support

  • Review patient requests for Rheumatology patients and determine appropriate support.
  • Evaluate case summaries of TB patients, confirm if regimens are appropriate, identify missing elements, and recommend next steps.

Doctor & Hospital Engagement

  • Connect with each doctor we support at government medical colleges, maintaining strong partnerships and ensuring smooth implementation of initiatives.
  • Conduct regular hospital visits to track patient outcomes and identify gaps in care.

Program Coordination

  • Work closely with individual project officers, vendors, and team members to ensure that all project activities meet program requirements.
  • Monitor supply and utilization of medicines, medical kits, and other support items donated by the Foundation.

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Identify gaps in patient care (medicines, devices, or emergency services) and suggest improvements.
  • Generate periodic reports on program impact, patient outcomes, and resource utilization.

Cross-Initiative Support

  • Contribute to other JDF health projects such as Eye Care and Maternal Health when required.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MBBS required; MD preferred).
  • Experience in Rheumatology, Tuberculosis, Maternal Health, or related specialties is highly desirable.
  • Background in hospital settings (Obstetrics & Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Public Health, or similar) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across India (50% of time).
