Job Responsibilities:-

Negotiation and communication skills

  • Knowledge of quality control and assurance processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Contributes to on time procurement and delivery of materials by consistently meeting the desired SLAs of purchase order creation & execution
  • Negotiate item rates with suppliers to ensure optimal price to facilitate cost reduction and winning bids
  • Consistently evaluate supplier performance on both on time and material quality to maintain a set of standard suppliers
  • Focus in addressing non-conformities on an immediate basis and ensure corrective actions have by suppliers to avoid repeat issues
  • Timely closure of open observations highlighted in audits
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to provide quality inputs to support decision making
  • End-to-end procurement cycle: RFQ preparation, offer evaluation, techno-commercial negotiations, PO placement, supplier follow-ups, and delivery coordination.
  • Experience in supplier audits, expediting, and NCR resolution.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, vendor development, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience in projects involving procurement of mechanical equipment, especially valves and control systems
  • Exposure to EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) environments is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on involvement in after sales support requirement of client.
  • In-depth knowledge of gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, plug valves, Actuated Valves, and control valves.
  • Understanding of valve accessories like limit switches, solenoid valves (SOVs), positioners, and actuators.
  • Metallurgical knowledge of valve MOC (Material of Construction) such as CS, SS, Duplex, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, etc., based on service conditions.
  • Proficiency in strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract management, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with SAP/MM, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong grasp of payment terms, warranty clauses, Incoterms, and logistics coordination.
  • Ability to handle LCs, advance payments, and penalty clauses.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier audits, inspections, and meetings.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with QA/QC, Engineering, Planning, and Finance teams.
  • Experience in handling NCRs, CAPA, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
