Role Overview

As a
Cloud Operations Engineer
within the Technology Group, you will be part of a highly skilled global team focused on delivering
secure, efficient, and modern end-user computing experiences
.

You will play a pivotal role in
designing, implementing, and operationalizing
:

• Microsoft Productivity Platforms
• Endpoint Management
• Vulnerability Management
• Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
• Workplace Technologies

This role requires expertise across
Microsoft and Azure technologies
, including but not limited to:

M365, Azure Entra ID, Intune, Defender, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure IaaS/PaaS services.

It is a
highly technical, hands-on role
requiring deep knowledge of
modern endpoint management, application lifecycle orchestration, cloud technologies, and secure enterprise/cloud computing practices
.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability and performance of a
  hybrid cloud and on-premises environment
  with a strong security focus.
• Analyse, design, implement, and operationalize
  Microsoft and Azure platforms
  to enable productivity, security, data protection, and privacy across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed
  security, reliability, and scalability
  into enterprise systems.
• Lead initiatives across multiple technology domains:
• Microsoft Azure Cloud
• Azure Entra ID
• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Defender (Cloud & Endpoint)
• Microsoft Endpoint Management / Intune
• Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms
• Network Architecture (routers, firewalls, switches)
• Atlassian Products
• Workplace Technologies
• Drive
  vulnerability management and remediation
  across enterprise and cloud endpoints.
• Support execution of the
  IT strategy
  , including defining and implementing processes and policies.
• Act as an
  escalation point
  for complex technical issues.
• Research and evaluate
  emerging technologies
  to align with evolving business needs.
• Serve as a
  key technical resource
  in establishing a modern secure workplace practice.
• Maintain
  technical knowledge libraries
  and mentor junior team members.
• Ensure
  operational efficiency
  through automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in
  change control processes
  , ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

Requirements

Must-Have

• Bachelor's degree in
  Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  .
• 12+ years
  of hands-on experience in core infrastructure and cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of
  cloud concepts
  with practical experience in at least one cloud platform (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Solid experience with
  infrastructure components
  – Compute, Storage, Networking, Virtualization.
• Experience in
  administering Microsoft 365 suite
  of applications.
• Multi-platform endpoint engineering (
  Windows, macOS, Linux
  ).
• Strong knowledge of
  Microsoft security and compliance frameworks
  .
• Proficiency in
  Scripting and Automation
  .
• Excellent
  troubleshooting skills
  and proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Security-first and automation-driven
  mindset.
• Advanced knowledge of
  information security principles
  .
• Proven ability to collaborate across
  cross-functional teams
  .
• Excellent
  written and verbal communication
